Information you give us

Two forms on this site collect personal information: the full service request form and the quick callback popup. Between them they ask for your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details, service location and any notes you add. Only the name and phone number are required — everything else is optional and exists so the technician arrives prepared.

We collect this to answer your request. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you asked about a lockout.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the site we record the pages you view, the site or search engine that referred you, whether you tapped a phone number or submitted a form, and whether you are on a phone, tablet or desktop. This is first-party: it is stored on our own server and is never sold or shared.

To tell repeat visits apart from new ones we set a cookie named pl_vid containing a random identifier. It holds no personal information. Your IP address is used only to filter out bots and is stored as a one-way salted hash — the original address is never written to our database.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find us. Google sets its own cookies and receives information about your visit, including a truncated IP address, under Google’s Privacy Policy. We never send Google your name, phone number, email address or anything else that identifies you personally — when you submit a form, Google is told only that a form was submitted.

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely on every site you visit by installing Google’s official opt-out browser add-on.

How we use what we collect

To respond to your service request and dispatch a technician. To contact you about that job and follow up on the work. To keep a record of the job for warranty and liability purposes. To understand which pages and which service areas actually bring in calls, so we spend our effort in the right places.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling of any kind.

Who else sees your information

Our web host, Hostinger, stores the site and its database on their servers. Our email provider delivers the notification and confirmation emails. Google Analytics receives the anonymous usage data described above. Each of these only handles the data needed to do its job.

Beyond that, we disclose information only when the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Text messages and calls

Giving us your phone number means we may call or text you about the service you requested. That is the point of the form. We do not send marketing texts, and we do not pass your number to anyone else for theirs.

How long we keep it

Service request records are kept while they are useful for warranty and business records. Website analytics are kept in aggregate. If you want your information removed, ask us and we will delete it, except where we are required to keep a record of completed work.

Your choices

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine without them; we simply lose the ability to tell a returning visitor from a new one.

Security

The site is served entirely over HTTPS, so anything you submit is encrypted in transit. The administration area is password protected. No website can promise perfect security, but we do not collect payment card details through this site at all — payment is handled in person at the time of service.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging locksmith service for a vehicle. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle information changes, this page is updated and the effective date at the top changes with it.
